Common Questions about Pets at Rest QLD Pet Cremation

All help & advice Pet cremation

Pet Cremation certainly isn’t the most straight forward topic, especially if you have never had to experience pet cremation before. This article will be a Question and Answer type of piece, answering all of your questions regarding pet cremation.

Is it a door to door service?

Yes, we provide a door to door service whereby one of our trained attendant will receive your pet from your home or from your nominated Veterinarian Clinic.

How do you pick up my pet?

The RSPCA Pets at Rest QLD is associated with many Vet clinics. Ask your vet to contact us or call one of our trained team members directly to arrange for us to receive your companion into our care.

Our door to door personalised service is available to vet clinics and private residences.

Where does my money go?

Pets at Rest Queensland is owned and operated by the RSPCA. 100% of our profits goes towards the upkeep of our shelters and tending to the animals in our care.

How long does the process take? When will I receive my pet’s ashes?

The time of the process can depend on many circumstances, but typically your pet’s ashes will be returned to you within 7 – 10 days. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
How can I be sure it’s my pet’s ashes?

At Pets at Rest QLD we guarantee individual cremation. There’s plenty of horror stories swirling around on the internet about owners finding out they received the wrong ashes and how it compounded the trauma of losing their companion.

We guarantee your beloved pet will be placed in an individual receptacle for a dignified cremation.

Do you cremate large animals?

Unfortunately, there’s a limit on what we can do. Pets at Rest Queensland can’t cremate large animals, such as horses and ponies. A standard pet cremation is for an animal under 100kg.
