Large opening in back with threaded screw closure. All pieces are made of 316 Stainless Steel for longevity. Gold/bronze accents or chains are plated in 14K gold. All pendants come with a 48cm snake chain in matching tone. Chain is threaded through the opening in top of pendant to avoid snapping an attached loop.
